Michael Cothren

Cothren, Scheuer Family Professor Emeritus of Humanities in the Art Department of Swarthmore College and Consultative Curator of Medieval Stained Glass at the Glencairn Museum, has been a member of the Corpus Vitrearum USA since 1981. He served as the committee’s President from 1994-2006. His research has focused on French stained glass of the 12th to 14th centuries, especially at the cathedrals of Beauvais and Rouen, and the abbey church at Saint-Denis. He is currently writing the Corpus volume on the stained glass of the Glencairn Museum in Bryn Athyn, PA.
