Arms: Argent a fess between three griffin’s heads erased sable (Hals of Keynedon); impaling: gules a chevron between three sea-mews argent (Mewy); C. and D. Arms of Richard Hals (d. 1550) and his wife Joan Whiteley. Arms: Argent a fess between three griffin’s heads erased sable (Hals of Keynedon); impaling: azure a bend or three torteaux (Whitely of Efford)
